Thank you for all the knowledge you gave to me, you taught me to be a responsible person, to be at school on time, even if it was to early, I always tried to make an effort and be in the classroom.
I learned several new vocabulary, and I could used on my carrer, many topics about tourism and the importance that it have in all the world, the correct way to take notes, acronyms and a lot more stuff. thank to Miss Julia I lost my fear to pass in front of the group :).  but the most important thing that Im going to take of these class is that, you always have to be learning and keep yourself going. A lot of thanks Miss Julia

My Favorite Recipes

Caprese Salad 

INGREDIENTS:

2 large tomatoes, sliced
6-8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
Handful of fresh basil
Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil
Sea salt and pepper
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar

Caprese salad is my number one favorite salad!  OK, let’s be honest..it’s the only salad I like :D.  Caprese is a simple, flavorful, refreshing summertime dish. 

DIRECTIONS:

(balsamic reduction): In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, bring the balsamic vinegar to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and let simmer, swirling the pan occasionally, until reduced to about half of the original amount (15 minutes or little bit less) Watch it carefully. Remove from the heat and set aside.  Meanwhile, assemble the salad by layering the tomato, mozzarella, and basil.

Lightly drizzle the olive oil and balsamic reduction over the salad and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

" VERY EASY AND DELICIOUS "

Tortilla Soup 

INGREDIENTS

• 
  
• .6 tablespoons cooking oil
• 8 corn tortillas, halved and cut crosswise into strips
• 1 onion, chopped
• 4 large cloves garlic, smashed
• 3 cups of crushed tomatoes 
•  salt
• 1 avocado (topping)
• 1/4 pound fresh cheese (topping)
• Lime, for serving (topping)
• Directions
• The elaboration of the soup is very easy.
• 
  
• 1.- You need to put all the ingredients on the blender (except the toppings), Set a side
• 
  
• 2.- put the oil in a pot let it warm, then put the mix on the pot and fry the soup.
• 
  
• 3.- serve and garnish with the toppings.
• the most delicious soup in the world and is Mexican, the texture is very soft is like velvet, AMAZING....!

COCHINITA-PIBIL

Cochinita pibil (ko-chin-ee-ta pee-beel) is an easy braised pork dish that originally comes from the Yucatan in Mexico.

3-4 pounds pork shoulder

1 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed if possible

1/2 cup lime juice, juice of 4-5 limes

1 teaspoons salt

3 ounces of red (rojo) achiote paste, available in Latin markets

Pickled red onions (optional), for garnish

Dry Mexican cheese (queso seco), for garnish

Chopped cilantro, for garnish

Lime wedges, for garnish    

COCONUT Bonbons

12 Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers

1/4 cup shredded unsweetened coconut

2 pints coconut sorbet

12 whole almonds

26 ounces semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped

1 tablespoon vegetable shortening

FAVORITE DESSERT EVER ♥

CHIPOTLE & SOUR CREAM DIP

• 7ounces chipotle chiles in adobo
• 16ounces sour cream
• 1tablespoon ground cumin
• 1lime, juice of
• salt (start with one good pinch)

• Very easy to prepare, you only have to put all the ingredients into the blender.

SAN QUINTIN B.C.

San Quintín is a coastal town on the west coast of the Mexican state of Baja California, in the municipio of Ensenada; the town is also in the middle of an important agricultural area, especially for growing strawberries and tomatoes. The largest nearby locality is Lázaro Cardenas. 

HISTORY

In the 1880's some land in San Quintin were British-owned company Colonization Company acquired much of the area in order to create an empire of wheat. The progressed which was built a mill and a wharf for transportation also wheat, which required the construction of a railway to join a road leading south Pacific. But a drought devastated the empire and by 1900 the colonists had abandoned San Quintin. San Quintin now has a vast and progressive agriculture.

ATTRACTIONS IN SAN QUINTIN... 

Find plants like pine, oak, juniper and thousands species of flora and desert chaparral and sage, verbena, yucca and palm. also find piñon, Jeffrey pine, white fir, incense cedar, sugar pine and at least three species not found elsewhere in Baja California as aspen, lodgepole pine, cypress of San Pedro Martir. Fauna in no particular order is the donkey deer, mountain lion, wild cat, coyotes, and so rare Borregón. Pets and cattle and sheep.

Santo Domingo de La Frontera Mission

The site of Santo Domingo de la Frontera was in 1771, and was explored during 1775 by the Dominicans Manuel Garcia and Miguel Hidalgo, who founded the mission on 30 August of that year. Originally established 30 km from the Bay of San Quintin. Between 1775 and 1797, the religious Manuel García, Miguel Hidalgo, José Avian Miguel Abad and Jaime Covina, served as resident minister.

Sierra San Pedro Mártir National Park and Astronomical Observatory.

The National Park comprises wooded lot located within the mountainous Sierra de San Pedro Martir. This is one of the few tracts of mountain forest is located in the Baja California Peninsula. It has a variety of conifer species and serves as an important refuge for wildlife on the peninsula whose species, some endemic can see bighorn sheep.

La Lobera Sea Lion Sanctuary close San Quintín Baja California. 

Approximately 30 miles south of San Quintin is a unique natural attraction known as La Lobera which is a sea lions sanctuary. This site has faced rock over millions of years of strong tides and high waves off the coast of Baja California into large cavities between the rock where the sea penetrates. This phenomenon has given rise to a crater, located some 150 meters inland, it has served as a refuge for seals and sea lions. The crater is about 30 meters in diameter at the top and 60 meters on the inside, with about 15 meters deep.

there's a lot of things to do there
First we have the wine; this delicious colorful, fresh, aromatic drink, is the most amazing thing you can drink for health. my dad always say this is life, because VID means life. the VID is the deck of grapes.







The food there is unbelievably delicious, so much to eat, variety of kinds of food, there's a museum of the ancestors and founders, a curious fact is that a lot of russians live there old people that arrived in the 10's, 20's or before.







I grew there my dad have a little wine cellar there, but the wine its only for us. he buy the tons of grapes and a very good friend of him make the artisanal wine, the wine don't have anything else than grape. no chemical,not reduced with water just grape.




Everybody needs to know this beautiful place because is in our country, full of history, colors ,tastes, wonderful landscapes and the most beautiful sunsets that I ever see.

 I love Valle De Guadalupe.

What I learned this week... 
This week I learned very interesting things, one of them was, How can I take notes? 
Miss Julia put us an audio about tourism, then we had to recognize the way they said the lecture. and took notes in flow charts, table, spidergram, numbering.

Also we did a lecture about tourism and their two most important factors, tangible and intangible. 

Tangible aspects of service quality include the exterior and interior design of hotels, the equipment found at hotels and the ambient conditions in the environment of hotels.

 The intangible aspects of service quality are those factors that are not touched; they include reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy.

We saw the advantages and disadvantages of a translation dictionary and we did a vocabulary chart with the help of one dictionary.

What I've learned this week

This week was very productive, in all of my classes I've learned diferent and very usefull things, and is important because is general culture, you need to keep up learning something new everyday.

In my english class I learned about, the meaning of tourism, the origin of the word is tornare its an italian word that means: return, be back. when we're tourist we return to our origin place. 
also we learned, about hospitality and what is required to be hospitable, you have to be a people person, be kind and patient with your guest.

we talk about prefixes and suffixes...

Prefixes are added to the beginning of an existing word in order to create a new word with a different meaning. for example: happy-un- unhappy.

Suffixes are added to the end of an existing word. For example: work-er-worker
 vocabulary:

*promotion
*package



This week was very fun, I learned several things about my career, vocabulary, different topics, I'm ready to be out this weekend. Hopefully next week as going to be amaizing as this. 



        

My next stop is CUBA...

My biggest dream is to travell around Latin America. I have a particular obsession for this amazing continent, and Cuba has always ranked very high on my bucket list.  I never been there, I would like to visit very much, because there are so many things to do in Cuba. 

The country can be visited in any season, but if I had to decide on when to go to Cuba, I would go between November and March, when temperatures are not as hot and there it rains less. This way, I will be sure to enjoy all the things to do in Cuba. The prices of flights don’t change much throughout the year. actually i have a lot of regrets because I didn't visited Cuba when I was there in cancun on my trainee semester, the cost of the flight from cancun to cuba, its around $3,500 pesos, doesn't expensive at all.
